National Merit Honors

Congratulations to the Form VI students who were named 2025 National Merit finalists this spring.

The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes students based on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). In September, six seniors were named semifinalists, and fourteen were named commended students. The semifinalists advanced to the finalist stage by completing an application and meeting additional requirements. Semifinalists score in the top 1% on the PSAT and represented the highest-scoring students from each state. Commended students score in the top 2-3% of test-takers nationwide. From the group of more than 15,000 finalists, approximately 6,900 students will be selected as Merit Scholarship winners later this year.
