6th & 7th Grade Application

Decision Notification

Decision letters will be available in each applicant's Ravenna account on February 28, 2025. An applicant will be advised one of the following: that he is being offered admission, that he has been placed on a waiting list, or that we are unable to offer him admission. If an applicant accepts an offer of admission, his parents must return the signed enrollment contract by March 14. The School will make every effort to make financial aid awards simultaneously with offers of admission.

  • Schedule Family Tour And Student Interview

    Beginning on September 9, 2024, families applying for the 2025-26 school year may register for a campus tour through our application portal, Ravenna. Family tours for sixth grade applicants will be available on select Wednesdays. For seventh grade applicants, tours will be available on select Thursdays. Tours begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. and conclude at 9:45 a.m. During these visits, applicants and their parents will tour the school with members of the Admissions Office and have the opportunity to learn more about the academic, athletic, and artistic programs that St. Albans offers. Applicants will be individually interviewed at the conclusion of their tour. Separately, all applicant parents will tour the School with a member of the Admissions Office.   • Complete and Submit Application Form

    Please apply online through our application vendor, Ravenna. All applications must be submitted, along with the $80 application fee ($120 for international applicants), by January 7, 2025. If the application fee poses a financial challenge, please contact the Admissions Office for a waiver code.

  • Complete and Submit Personal Statement

    For students applying to grades 6 through 8, a typed personal statement, composed solely by the applicant, is due January 15, 2025. The applicant will be asked to answer two separate questions. No outside sources should be used to complete the personal statement. Personal statements can be accessed through your Ravenna account and should be submitted by January 15, 2025.

  • Submit School Transcripts and Teacher Recommendations

    An applicant’s transcript and teacher recommendations must be received by the Admissions Office no later than January 15, 2025. Parents should submit the Transcript Request form (accessible in Ravenna) for academic records from the current year (first and second quarter) and previous school year to their son’s school's registrar or head of school. Additionally, parents should use Ravenna to request and submit two Teacher Recommendation forms for the current and prior year homeroom teachers (for applicants to grade 6) or to the student's current math and English teachers (for applicants to grade 7).

  • Complete SSAT or ISEE Admissions Testing (Optional)

    For applicants to grades 6 through 8, students may submit scores for either the SSAT or ISEE by January 15, 2025. Either test is acceptable. Students who choose to submit testing should register for either test in the fall. The test should be taken no later than early January for the Admissions Office to receive it by the January 15 deadline. For registration information for the ISEE, visit iseeonline.erblearn.org or call 1-800-446-0320. St. Albans' ISEE school code is 090165. Limited fee waivers are available for both tests. Applicants for whom English is not a native language are strongly encouraged to submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam along with either ISEE or SSAT scores.   • Apply For Financial Aid (Optional)

    St. Albans uses the Clarity platform for financial aid. The financial aid application process will open on October 1. To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The mobile-friendly application typically takes fewer than 30 minutes to complete and permits users to save their progress and return at any time. The application is also available in Spanish. The application fee is $60. Please remember to return to the Clarity dashboard after you complete and submit the application.
