A Perfect Day for the 113th Lower School Field Day
On a perfect May morning, Lower School students, staff, and families gathered for the 113th Annual Lower School Blue-White Field Day on Steuart Field. Boys competed in dash races, three-legged races, football and hurdle relays, 400-meter and quarter-mile relays, the long jump, and tug-of-wars. Brave parents, faculty, and seniors even joined the boys for a special heat of the three-legged race, a spectator favorite, and the Class of 2024 was able to compete in one last tug-of-war on Steuart Field before Commencement.
Individual students and teams were then honored for their performances before the overall winner was announced. The Blue team edged out the White team in the final point total, but both teams’ captains were very proud of everyone’s showing of great sportsmanship, camaraderie, and athleticism. Go, Dogs!
