National Merit Honors

Congratulations to the semifinalists and commended students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. The program recognizes students based on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). The 16,000 semifinalists scored in the top 1% and represent the highest-scoring students from each state. The semifinalists may now continue in the finalist competition for some 7,250 National Merit Scholarships, to be offered in the spring. The 34,000 commended students scored in the top 2-3% of test-takers nationwide.
