Feb 15 deadlines, letters of update, financial aid, and a scholarship opportunity
Dear All,
If you haven't already, please submit your Senior Update Form.
Feb 15 brings with it another round of college deadlines. If you are looking to add another foundation school (or if we have been encouraging you to add another foundation school), the next few days are going to be good days to do this! You can find a list of colleges whose deadlines have not passed in your Common App account.
If you are writing a letter of update, you need to submit this now. Remember that you are addressing 1) your interest in the school in as strong of language as you can use 2) anything that is new since the time you initially applied.
If you are applying for financial aid and have not already, NOW is the time to submit your FAFSA and CSS Profile forms. Go to www.fafsa.govand https://cssprofile.collegeboard.org/ to get to these forms. Most colleges strongly recommend that you submit these forms in January; if you do not follow this timeline, you are putting your financial aid package at risk. Make sure that you have read the financial aid web pages of all of your colleges to make sure that you are providing all necessary documentation. Note: due to governmental changes, FAFSA data is severely delayed this year. That means it is more important than ever to submit your forms *as soon as possible.*
Have you sent your ACT/SAT scores to all of your colleges that require official scores? Have you checked your portals to make sure your applications are complete?
