STA Seniors Receive National Merit Honors

Congratulations to five Form VI students who were named 2024 National Merit Finalists.

Matthew Florance '24, Aryan Goel '24, Connor Leyden '24, Hale Snyder '24, and Oliver Wang '24 were named semifinalists in September and advanced to become finalists by completing an application and meeting additional requirements. Approximately half of the 15,000 finalists will receive college scholarship offers this spring.
 
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes students based on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). The finalists scored in the top 1% and represent the highest-scoring students from each state. The 34,000 commended students scored in the top 2-3% of test-takers nationwide.
