Middle School Coed Chorus
Any boy in Forms I and II (grades 7 and 8) may join the Middle School Coed Chorus. This group places special emphasis on good vocal technique for boys in vocal transition.
Performance opportunities include two school concerts in the Washington National Cathedral each year, the Festival of Lessons and Carols at the Cathedral, and Flower Mart. There are also occasional opportunities for singing in the community, and past performances have included the Kennedy Center Concert Hall and the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony.
These 30-40 voices meet to practice three days out of the seven-day cycle from 12:00 noon to 12:55 p.m.
Form II Vocal Class
For boys who wish to improve their vocal skill and sight singing in preparation for Upper School singing, there is a Form II Vocal Class which meets in the second semester. These boys perform on concerts with the Middle School Coed Chorus.
